Who we are

Built for this community,
by this community

Too many people living with disabilities in Glenrothes find that mainstream health and wellbeing services weren't built with them in mind — sessions held in inaccessible venues, information delivered in formats that don't suit everyone, and a quiet assumption that 'standard' provision is enough.

Vibrant Health Advocates – Andromeda was established to change that, one session at a time. We design and deliver accessible wellbeing programmes across Glenrothes and the surrounding Fife communities, working directly alongside disabled people to make health information, physical activity, mental wellness support, and social connection genuinely reachable.

Our sessions take place in community halls, supported living settings, and outreach venues across the town — wherever our participants can get to us. We are a small, committed team with deep roots in Fife, and everything we do is shaped by the people we serve.

What makes us different

Accessibility isn't an add-on.
It's the foundation.

Fully Accessible Sessions

Every session we run is designed from the ground up with accessibility in mind — not retrofitted as an afterthought. Venues, formats, communication aids, and pacing are all tailored so that disabled participants can engage fully and comfortably.

🤝

Led by the Community

Our programmes are shaped by the disabled people of Glenrothes themselves, through regular feedback, co-design sessions, and trustee representation. We do not assume we know best — we listen, adapt, and improve.

📋

Trusted Health Information

We translate complex NHS and social care guidance into plain, accessible formats — large print, easy read, BSL-interpreted workshops, and one-to-one conversations. Knowing your options is the foundation of good health.

Our programmes

From the community hall to the park path

On any given week, our staff and volunteers are working across multiple venues in Glenrothes — setting up accessible session spaces, welcoming participants, facilitating health workshops, and leading gentle outdoor walks.

Our delivery model is built on consistency and trust. We work in the same venues, with the same staff, week after week, because reliability matters enormously to participants who may have had unreliable experiences of services in the past.
